Week 5 of pregnancy
At five weeks of pregnancy, your baby is already an embryo with three different planes. The internal plane, called the endoderm, from which your baby's lungs, liver and digestive system will develop. The middle plane, called the mesoderm, from which your baby's bones, muscles, kidneys, sex organs, and heart will develop. Finally, the ectoderm, or outer plane, will form your baby's tissues and organs, such as skin, hair, eyes, and nervous system. The baby continues to grow, remember that its entire body needs time to form and that all its vital functions develop day by day. Why not think about how to decorate your room?
One more week of pregnancy. What a joy! For this week we recommend that you inform yourself about the activities that you should now avoid.
We want you not to neglect your figure so we recommend that you continue to exercise. But now at a moderate pace. Get to know the changes your body is going through.
Start taking a polyvitamin with a minimum of 400 micrograms of folic acid, vitamin B and iron every day to help reduce the risk of anemia and birth defects of the brain and spinal cord.
These supplements, in addition to the intake of a healthy diet, ensure that your baby receives additional vitamins and minerals, such as folic acid, zinc, iron and calcium, which are necessary for growth and development.
Physical exercise can be an excellent way to stay in shape during pregnancy and can even minimize some of the symptoms, such as varicose veins, excessive weight gain and back pain. But pregnancy is not the time to start training for a triathlon.
You should warm up well before each exercise session. Because ligaments relax more during pregnancy, you are at greater risk of injury, so it is best to practice low-impact or no-impact exercises such as yoga, swimming, and walking. Check with your doctor before starting any exercise program during pregnancy.
